Flavius Josephus, The Book of Jasher, The Book of Enoch

Here are two more historical documents that the serious Bible student should study. Flavius Josephus is often referred to by Bible Scholars as an independent source proving the biblical accounts of the destruction of Jerusalem. Here is one link to his writings: The Wars of the Jews by Flavius Josephus.

The Book of Jasher is mentioned in two places in the Bible: Joshua 10:13 and 2Samuel 1:18. Here is one link to that book: The Book of Jasher.

Enoch (Gen. 5:24) was Noah’s great grandfather, a man who was “translated”, that is, did not see death. This book is regarded highly, but is not canonized. A real must study. You can study it here: The Book of Enoch.

  1. Enoch is canon in the ancient eastern churches. It never was lost, it has been in use there since before the Essenes at Qumran
